Job Description  
As our CDL Driver , you will play a critical role in supporting Landscapers Supply’s ability to serve our customers with high efficiency. 
Your role is to deliver landscape materials with a dump truck or flatbed truck to our customers and our stores.  You are assisted with loading of our trucks by our Yard Equipment Operators.  The key to your success is your safe operation of the trucks and ability to leave the load in the customer’s desired location.
This role is an specialist level position that requires the license to drive a flatbed truck. You also need good communication skills and customer service skills.  Generally, you are the last person that our customer has contact with, so your friendly interaction and respect for their property will be remembered.

 

Responsibilities 

• Complete pre-trip inspections of your truck
• Verify that the load matches the order before leaving the store
• Call customer to confirm delivery and give an estimated arrival time
• On occasion , load a flatbed truck with a Moffett forklift
• Drive a heavy truck to deliver landscape materials such as mulch and rock
• Listen to the customer , and drop load in the desired location
• Carry your CDL medical card
• Record all driving in the driver log
• Wash and maintain the delivery trucks
• Deliver transfers between our stores
• When not driving, assist in the yard with hand or equipment loading of landscape
• materials
• Assist with special requests from management

Required Qualifications  

• • • CDL Class B license
    • Clean Motor Vehicle Record for at least 7 years
    • Ability to have positive and friendly interactions with customers
    • Ability to have clear communication with colleagues in person and over radio
    • Ability to work steady and safely around people and vehicles

• • • Experience using a Moffett forklift
    • Experience working with a wheel loader or other heavy equipment

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
