Job Description

Position: Parking Supervisor (AM&PM)

Salary : $18-20.00

Type : Part-time (hourly) position, expected to work non-regular hours; weekends, and holidays

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervision: Oversee parking personnel, operations, and equipment during scheduled shifts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local parking regulations and laws.
  • Occupancy Monitoring: Track lot occupancy and ensure smooth traffic flow to maximize available space.
  • Cash Handling Oversight: Supervise cash handling processes, including making changes, balancing cash drawers, and preparing deposits.
  • Training: Oversee staff training to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Data Management: Maintain parking capacity data and advise cross-functional teams of potential operational impacts.
  • Security: Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage and theft and monitor surroundings for potential hazards.
  • Maintenance: Keep parking areas clean and orderly to maximize space usage.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure parking policies and procedures meet expectations and established standards while maximizing profitability.
  • Traffic Management: Direct drivers to designated areas, using hand signals or flashlights as needed, and managing barricades to open or close sections of the parking area.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned to support event and parking operations.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Previous experience in parking operations or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Capability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure within time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, staff, patrons, and the public.

Working Conditions

This part-time position may require extended hours based on business needs, including late nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves both office and physical work, requiring the employee to sit, talk, hear, handle objects, and stand for extended periods.
