Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Security Assessment Consultant to lead comprehensive security evaluations, design robust access control strategies, and enterprise-grade security configurations for our Snowflake environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of architecting and deploying advanced security features, integrating Snowflake with SIEM platforms, leveraging the Snowflake Trust Center, and delivering actionable risk assessments using industry-leading tools.

Key Skills:

• Security Assessment & Program Implementation
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the current Snowflake security posture and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and execute a security enhancement program aligned with compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Utilize Snowflake Trust Center for evaluating security certifications, data protection features, and compliance readiness.
• Access Control Design & Deployment
  • Redesign Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure least privilege access across environments.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) , Column-Level Security (CLS) , and dynamic masking policies to protect sensitive data.
• Network & Identity Security
  • Enforce Snowflake network policies to control data access by IP range.
  • Integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with Okta to strengthen identity security.
• Data Encryption & Key Management
  • Deploy Tri-Secret Secure encryption with Customer-Managed Keys for enhanced protection of sensitive datasets.
• Security Monitoring & Automation
  • Develop automated audit scripts leveraging ACCOUNT_USAGE and Access History views.
  • Integrate Snowflake audit data with Splunk SIEM for real-time monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Configure security log ingestion pipelines for advanced analytics and threat detection.
• Security Assessment Tools & Best Practices
  • Utilize industry tools for security assessment, data governance, access policy automation, and security monitoring.
  • Recommend and implement toolsets to enhance continuous Snowflake security posture assessments and available integrations with Splunk SEIM
• Risk Analysis & Reporting
  • Deliver a Security Gap & Risk Matrix outlining vulnerabilities, remediation strategies, and compliance mapping.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical teams and executive leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Snowflake security configuration, governance, and monitoring .
• Hands-on experience with RBAC , RLS/CLS , dynamic masking , and encryption management.
• Experience with Okta integration for SSO/MFA.
• Familiarity with Tri-Secret Secure and Customer-Managed Keys .
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake Trust Center features and usage.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for security auditing using Snowflake system views.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk SIEM for centralized security log monitoring.
• Familiarity with market-leading Snowflake security assessment tools (e.g., Satori, Immuta, Alation, Okera, DataDog).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
