Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 5 days per week | 42.5 hours/week
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join a fast-paced healthcare team. The technician will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
ResponsibilitiesDecontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, biological testing, and equipment tracking.
Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment following established protocols.
Ensure timely distribution of sterile surgical instruments and supplies to operating rooms and other clinical areas.
Inspect instruments for proper function, cleanliness, and integrity before distribution.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety regulations, and facility policies.
Collaborate with surgical staff and other departments to ensure instrument availability and readiness.
Follow established quality assurance and documentation procedures.
Minimum 2+ years of central sterile/sterile processing experience required.
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
Knowledge of sterilization techniques, equipment operation, and infection control practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
